Where are my runners at? I’m curious, does anyone use Strava or MapMyRun to track their progress?
I’m not affiliated with them. I used to use MapMyRun ages ago, and just recently got onto Strava, and let me tell you, I am pushing myself harder than I did before.
That’s what happens when you track your success and start to compete with only yourself – You are so much more accountable to you when you are tracking your progress.
And you know what they say: Progress = Happiness
2 Key Success Habits right there – Track Your Progress, Exercise Daily.
Also wanted to mention that I was on the Avenue for Growth Podcast with Tiina Wilen today – that was a lot of fun – we talked about the mindset around marketing these days, which I also chatted about with Fiona last week.
Anyway, we’re here to talk about why you might be feeling a little bit flat, lost, confused, overwhelmed, like you’re in a funk, like you’ve lost your mojo.
… that spark of energy, that vibrance, that joie de vivre, you know what I mean?!
I can think of at least 5 reasons that you have lost your mojo.
#1 You don’t know yourself
You can be whoever you want to be by letting go of who you are today which is the product of your past.
In order to know where you’re going, you’ve got to know where you’ve been because that’s how we make lasting change and improvement.
You need to understand how you became who you are today so that you can let go of what and who is no longer serving you.
We are a product of our experiences – our habits, our beliefs, our thoughts, our feelings, our behaviour, it’s all learned, which means it can be unlearned.
We can change once we connect to ourselves on that deeper level – That’s what we do in the very first phase of my mentorship program.
Everything starts with self-awareness – knowing your strengths and weaknesses, your thoughts and beliefs, your values… it’s more than just knowing your favourite colour or food.
If you don’t know yourself then you feel lost – in this constant state of who am I? What do I want to do? What’s my purpose?
2. You don’t really know what you want
If you know me well, you know I always say:
Vision is the destination, Strategy is the pathway there and You are the key to making it happen.
If you don’t know what you want, then you won’t know where you’re going, so how can you know which path to take or if you’re on the right path in the first place?
You don’t, that’s why you feel lost, scattered, confused and unhappy because you feel like you’re not progressing or moving forward.
You may know what you want but it’s not clear enough. Like you’ve got a vision but it’s not crystal clear.
So you don’t make goals that are SMART – specific, measurable, attainable, relevant or timely.
3. You don’t have good habits
Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments
Jim Rohn
When I study successful people, they always talk about habits. Why? Because they know who they are, they know what they want and they have SMART goals to get them there.
They have an action plan!
You want to be fit, well, you need to exercise and eat well: FACT
You want to be an entrepreneur? Well, you need to plan and set goals: FACT
You want to be an effective leader? Well, you need to read daily, value importance over urgency and focus on what matters most.
If you have ever read Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, he talks about this in his book.
It’s easy to say you want something but it’s an entirely different thing to be the person that is going to do it.
Remember: It’s the being, not the doing, which ties into the first reason.
4. You doubt yourself and get in your own way A LOT
Ok, let me be clear: You are the only one standing in your way right now.
Not Covid, not your website, not your offer, not your job, not time, not even money, YOU.
Every excuse that you are coming up with can be tied back to a limiting belief or fear that you have developed.
I heard this the other day: the obstacle is the way.
Think about your biggest obstacle right now – if it’s I don’t have any time, then how are you spending your time?
If it’s not feeling satisfied with your work, then what about your work can you change?
5. You put everyone else first
The quickest way to losing your spark is to put everyone else first.
Are you really not that important? Why is someone else more important than you? Everyone, including your family needs you to be at your best – happy, healthy and fulfilled, because if you’re not, then everyone will suffer including you.
Putting yourself first plays very heavy on your self-worth and confidence because when you don’t, you send a message to your subconscious that you don’t really matter.
You’ve got to put your own oxygen mask on first. You’ve got to fill your cup first.
So tell me, which reasons do you identify with:
- You don’t know yourself enough
- You don’t really know what you want
- You don’t have good habits
- You don’t believe in yourself or accept yourself as you are
- You don’t put yourself first.
There was a time when I identified myself with all 5 of these and you know what happened?
I faced every single one and then some – it’s how I created my Make It Happen Success System and 6 month Premium Mentorship Program.
I will give you the training, the tools, the resources, the exercises, the coaching all the things for 6 months so that you can get your mojo back and start making the life you say you want a reality.
- You will know yourself like you never have before
- You will know exactly what you want
- You will finally implement those habits you’ve been wanting to for years
- You will have the confidence you need to make it happen

You will become the person you need to be, the only person you need to be to do and have whatever you want.
