I work with so many entrepreneurial women that set out to create a dream life and freedom business only to find themselves feeling more overwhelmed, lost and confused than ever before.
I find that it’s because the foundational steps are not there – We just got in the lamborghini and kicked it into high gear without taking the time to use our GPS properly.
It’s why I’m building out a mini-mastermind around this content.
For now, let me give you a sneak peak and some strategies that you can implement right away to get back in the driver’s seat! If you want more, you can always sign up for the training!
How to get back in the CEO position of your life and business
Your job as CEO is about taking on the overall responsibility for creating, planning, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of an organization, or of your life if we’re talking in life terms.
When you feel stuck, unsure, unclear, sluggish, lost… it makes your CEO job seem like you’re climbing uphill every single day. What kind of life is that?
You’ll hear me talk about the Wellness 360 philosophy because it’s integral to my work. The 12 elements of your life – career, relationships, finances, mindset, spirituality, purpose, food, water, air, sun, body, and rest.
Today, I’m focusing on clarity so my question to you is this:
When someone asks you – where do you want to be in 1, 2, 5, 10 years? – do you immediately sink to the floor and wish you were anywhere but in that conversation? Or do you respond like it ain’t no thang?
If you said the latter, that’s awesome! If not, these 4 questions may be the very thing you need to ask yourself first.

The Starting Point
Whenever you use your GPS to get somewhere, you put a starting point and an end point. The same goes for life and business.
Where are you at right now? This is question one. I want you to be really honest with yourself here.
Are you struggling with marketing? Are you spending into your savings? Do you need more clients consistently? Do you need to slow down for your health?
You need to know where you’re at so that you can measure how your progress and actually see it too!
When you’re an entrepreneur, no one is there to say ‘Great job!’ like they were in every other chapter of life – Use your stats as a means of recognizing your accomplishments and creating innovative solutions.
There is nothing worse than not having metrics in place and not knowing if your successful – if you’re here, I’m willing to bet that you FEEL unsuccessful which is a) not what you’re used to and b) not the entrepreneurial mindset you need right now to build a freedom life or business.
You can’t manage what you don’t measure
The (Positive) End Point
Now that you know where you’re at, what do you want to achieve in the next year?
I know, I went there!
Don’t shy away from this question – really take the time to think it through. This is just for now, it’s not forever.
Stephen Covey says this in his book – 7 habits of highly effective people – start with the end in mind.
Don’t think about everything you need to do to get there, think of how it’s going to feel and what it’s going to look like when you do.
Also on this, have you heard of your Reticular Activating System (RAS) – it is basically a built-in filtration system in our brain that lets in things that it agrees with and ignores what it doesn’t need.
It’s like when you go to buy a car and then you suddenly start seeing that car everywhere.
My girl Mel Robbins speaks to the science of RAS and the power of visualization which is really what we’re talking about here. If you haven’t read her book – The 5 Second Rule – I highly recommend it.
So what? What’s the point?
When I was doing my MBA, the question we would always ask ourselves is so what?
That is my next question for you is so what? WHY? What’s it all for anyway?
- Why do you want to make a million dollars?
- Why do you want more time with your family?
- Why do you want to make an impact?
You are here for a reason – I don’t know what that is but you do!
You’ve got to get out of your head and into your heart here. When you want something bad enough, you don’t care what it takes or how much it costs because you are certain!
Certainty is the greatest thing because it is key to momentum and your success.
The Tipping Point
The last piece is asking yourself what are the capabilities you need and what are you missing to level up?
What are your gaps? Do you need a CFO to take on financial management of your business? Do you need a marketing team so that you can create capacity? Do you need a physical trainer to get in shape?
Whatever it is that you need to get to where you want to go, this is where you take the time to lay it all out so that you can make it happen.
